Command (Perintah) in Bahasa Indonesia

In Indonesian, perintah or order contains instruction so that the listener does something asked by the speaker. In Indonesian order is formed by using acting word (without me- or ber-) with  a rising intonation.

For example:
(1)  Baca buku itu!                                                                                   Read that book!
(2)  Bangun, hari sudah siang!
Get up, it is already late!
(3)   Lihat ombak  itu!
Look at the waves!
(4)  Ambil  gambar kera-kera itu, Bill!
Take the pictures of those monkeys, Bill!
(5)  Pergi!
        Go!

To refine the order or to make it more polite, the particle -lah can be added to the verb
as shown in the following examples:

(6)   Bangunlah hari sudah siang!
Get up please, it is already late!
(7)   Bacalah  buku itu!
        Please, read the book!
(8)   Lihatlah ombak  itu!
Please, look at the waves!
(9)   Ambillah gambar kera-kera itu, Bill!
Please, take the pictures of those monkeys, Bill!
(10)  Pergilah!
          Please, go!
